We have been told to practice social distancing, what are you doing about this?
Bodyfit understands that social distancing is being advised at this time. We’re supporting this in our clubs by;
- Reducing the capacity of Group Exercise class sizes and requiring a minimum 2x2m space between participants in any class conducted in our studios. Floor markings are currently in use in all classes.
- Reducing the capacity of our Cycle classes to allow the use of every second bike only.
- Reducing the space between our cardio equipment on the gym floor with every second machine in use.

- Discouraging any personal contact during classes (such as a high five).
- Informing members before the beginning of each class about what we are doing to minimise risks.
- Finishing classes early to enforce cleaning of equipment (mats, bikes etc.)
- All our equipment have been socially distanced to keep you safe and available to use.
Can I bring a friend to the club?
Of course, anytime! Please bring your buddy for a 2 day guest pass. Download on our website or ask a friendly staff member to help you.
Can my children wait for me in the members' lounge while I workout?
Yes, as long as they’re accompanied by an adult. Our Bodyfit clubs feature a supervised crèche area that is equipped with caring staff and jam-packed with fun games and activities.
Who can I ask if I have trouble using the equipment?
All of our team members are trained to help you use our equipment safely and effectively. Our Personal Trainers are our experts! Feel free to join in on our Gym Intro session for an equipment and gym induction, it’s the best place to start.

During weekdays our clubs are generally busiest before work, at lunchtime and after work. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere pay a visit just after lunch or in the afternoon. Visit our 24hour clubs for a convenient and much quieter experience.
Do I need to bring my own towel?
Yes. You’ll need to bring your own towel to dry off and to wipe down equipment after use so it’s sweat-free for the next member. In the interest of health and safety for our members & guests, we have a No Towel No Train policy. There are no exceptions and towels are available to purchase or hire.
How do I use the lockers?

Training
How quickly will I see results when using the gym?
Your result depends on a variety of factors such as how often you attend, what exercise you do, what you eat and drink and what your goal is. The best way to ensure we fast track your results is to book in a complimentary consultation.
I've never used a gym before. What support is on offer?
We offer a Gym Intro session hosted by a Personal Trainer to guide you around the gym and show you how to use the equipment safely. We also offer a free consultation to double down and set you on the best path possible to achieve your goals. This is the best place for everyone to start regardless of your fitness level. At Bodyfit our goal is to not only assist you in reaching your goals, but to assist you in creating lasting fitness habits. This is why we always have a member from our fitness team on hand to help with any advice you may have in regards to training and nutrition. We have industry-leading instructors to support and guide you during our Group Fitness classes and a network of Personal Trainers ready to motivate and encourage you throughout your fitness journey.
I have an injury/illness. Can I still use the gym?
Yes, however we recommend that you get the OK from your doctor before working out. Research has shown that regular exercise can prevent, slow down and even reverse some symptoms. Our fitness team has experience creating exercise regimes specific to injuries and illness so ask a member of the fitness team for advice and support.
Do I need to be fit before I join?
Not at all! In fact, if you are unfit, the gym is the best place for you to start. With Bodyfit’s energetic and passionate fitness teams you’ll soon be feeling your best.
I'm new to classes. Are there any I shouldn't do?
There are no set classes that anyone should or shouldn’t do. Don’t be scared of trying something new. If you find it isn’t for you, try something else next time. However, you might discover a talent you never knew you had. We say it’s a good idea to try a class three times before making a decision that it isn’t right for you. Remember it’s your class, do it your way. Go at your own pace, it should be an enjoyable experience!
I'm pregnant, is it safe to workout?
The level of exercise during pregnancy is most commonly determined by pre-pregnancy fitness levels. If you’ve not been exercising recently it’s important for you to follow a more conservative exercise plan and progress things slowly. We recommend you book in with one of our Personal Trainers. When booking make sure you ask for one that is trained in Ante & Post Natal. They’ll help develop your personal fitness plan during pregnancy.
I am looking to tone my arms, bum and legs, what would you recommend?
A common question we get asked! To tone your arms, 2-3 sets of 8 reps work really well. Use a weight that you can keep good technique with for 8 reps but struggle with the 9th. Legs respond better to a slightly higher rep range: try 3 sets of 12 for 4 weeks then increase the weights and drop down to 8 reps. The best cardio machine depends on your goals. For health, it’s the one you like the most. For fat loss, it’s the one you are worst/least efficient at. Unfortunately, this is normally the one you hate! So try to mix it up with your favourite ones to stay motivated. For the best results, we prefer the bike and the rower. Giving yourself permission to do a range of activities will improve your overall fitness and keep you interested in your training generally.
